Facebook Page - The Gribble's Gift

I would like to UPDATE everyone - It has been nearly 14 years of me telling people my book is coming, it is coming, it is coming, well it is so close now I can taste it. I am just getting the front cover to print in the colours that I would like and then everything is good to go.

So in preparation for my novels release I have set up a new Facebook Page called The Gribble's Gift. The aim of this page is to let people know the how's and why's of how I wrote the book, the reasons, the ideas, as much info as I can remember. I will also be able to let people know where they can purchase a copy of my book or get their e-book copy. If you are interested then please follow the link and I will see you there.

The Gribble's Gift novel

UPDATE - 2020
My novel is so close to being published I can taste it - I am just making sure the colour of the front cover is exactly how I would like it. SO in preparation for its release I have started a new Facebook Page especially to let people know the why's and how's of how my novel came to be a real life book. Please click on this link to take you to the Facebook Page - The Gribble's Gift,

Hello, This is the title for my first, of three, children's fantasy adventure novels. I am self publishing this book and it is soo close to being published after eleven years. YAY!

I allowed life to get in the way but I have knuckled down this year and have only two more images to draw. While I wait for the front cover to be illustrated (by someone else) I decided to have my manuscript edited just one more time just to be sure. An author only has one time to catch a persons interest. There can be no mistakes. It is not like I could go back to people and say, "Sorry about the mistakes. I have fixed them now. Do you want to buy my book again?" The answer would be NO!

Facebook Author Page

I am pleased to let you know that I have finally set up a Facebook Author Page. As time goes by I shall add more info to it and hopefully people will start asking me questions.

Click here to be taken to the Facebook Page.

Published in Undertow

I am now officially a published author. I know it has nothing to do with Bramblewood (one day my Ebony and Archibald stories will be published) but it is still a big deal for me. My first step on a road that was always off in the distance. There have been soo many times over the years where I thought I would never get to tread on it but here I am. Now for the second step.

On the 10th May 2014 Prana Writers had their book launch for Undertow - Tales from Outside the Flags. Over 70 people were in attendance and it was brilliant. All that hard work and dedication from all the members of Prana Writers plus other people who were associates. It had all paid off and now I actually have a hard copy of the book sitting in-front of me.

It is an anthology of twenty stories from twenty authors. My story is the very last one and it is titled
THE GHOSTS OF MY ANCESTORS.

If you would like to purchase a copy of Undertow you can do so by clicking here and go through the website of Prana Writers.
Using rarely-seen photographs Gold Coast writers were asked to conjured up twenty intriguing tales. The stories that appeared are so varied in their subject mater. 'A surfer becomes horrifyingly one with the sea. A ghost waits for her American husband at Springbrook. A failed developer gets his revenge and a corrupt bureaucrat finally pays his penance.'*

I am extremely proud to be a founding member of Prana Writers and to be associated with an extraordinary group of people.

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone involved in making a dream into a reality.

I Have a New Book

LOOK AT THIS!

I have a new book for my library.
I have finally received my copy of Aaron's self published work. It has been soo worth the wait.
The book is titled:-
The Fantasy Artroom Book One - Detail and Whimsy
by Aaron Pocock

The effort this man has gone into to produce this beautiful book is amazing. I am going to learn soo much from this.
Aaron took on producing this amazing work many months ago and funded it through Kickstarter.
I am soo pleased to have contributed to this by funding ( a small amount $100) to getting this beautiful book into reality. For that I have received a signed copy with its own original drawing inside. Two number copies of prints and two original sketches. Isn't that brilliant!

It will also be a book I would highly recommend, or give as a gift, to anyone who is interested in learning art. There are 152 pages full of detailed information on how to draw and paint fantasy characters and landscapes.
If you would like to know more about this book please go to Aaron's own web site. Scroll down to some more of his amazing work. Click here.

If you would like to buy a copy of this book please click here.
